Sales Executive SaaS Subscriptions

Sales Executive, SaaS Subscriptions, Embedded Machine Learning Platform, North America

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Business Development at Edge Impulse, the Sales Executive SaaS Subscription, North Americas’ mission is to develop, accelerate, and scale our embedded Machine Learning Platform SaaS revenues and Target Hardware Subscriptions with leading brands across our industry. This position will have a strong focus on industrial, enterprise, and consumer use cases where embedded machine learning unlocks value and aligns with Edge Impulse’s strategy. While working across multiple departments, you will address several value chain layers and establish business processes for sustained revenue growth within our key strategic verticals for our Embedded Machine Learning SaaS platform.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Demonstrated 5+ years proven experience in selling SaaS to large scale corporations and operations
  • 2+ years of experience carrying a quota in IoT, machine learning, developer tools, or embedded software in a direct sales role
  • Experience and a solid network in multiple enterprise and industrial verticals (e.g., Predictive Maintenance, Smart Buildings, Smart Grid, Industrial Automation, wearables) who make extensive use of embedded systems (IoT experience highly desirable)
  • Experience in selling high complex products to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to articulate new technologies and complex product offerings
  • Ability to develop, negotiate and close diverse length sales cycle, medium to large-scale opportunities
  • Experience in reviewing, negotiating, and managing agreements
  • Start-up mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving ability; resourceful, self-starter with a hunter attitude
  • Customer-focused and customer-sensitive; able to motivate team members and co-workers; able to influence positively; flexible and hard-working
  • Good communications and presentation skills; able to present to executives, management, and engineering (external and internal)
  • Ability to synthesize multiple viewpoints, perspectives, and opinions with objective and impartial analysis to solve problems, gain consensus, and drive decisions
  • Experience developing and working with channels and partners to further develop their regions
  • Strong technical background and/or education
